Gen X bosses, who began their careers during the computer revolution, are more likely than Boomers to approve of their employees working from home, or at least doing so part of the time. Millennials feel the same. In a 2021 poll, 55% of Millennials questioned why workers should go back to the office when productivity has been high while working remotely; only 36% of Boomers agreed, despite their greater vulnerability to COVID.
