Laughter flutters from the other side of the door. Cece’s laughter. It’s loud and unapologetic. Donkey-like, even. Normally, I’d find such a sound repulsive, but everything else about her is appealing, so I embrace it with open arms. Secretly, I’m hoping she quacks like a duck at random to further throw off my attraction to her. Not only should I not find an employee attractive, but she’s engaged. I’m a jerk, not a pig.
