“That’s okay, princess. Run away. But next time you’re lonely and fucking yourself, say my name, won’t you?”
“Take me home,” she demanded of Blake, spinning to get inside the elevator again. “Please,” Blake countered and she snorted. “You’re right, I do love it when you beg for me.”
Noah stepped into the elevator, maneuvering in between them as he pressed the button to go downstairs. “Thought it best that someone be here with you both to ensure we don’t have another violent crime on our hands in the next few minutes.”
“Princess,” he said, and his voice was so low it made her toes curl. “What are you doing out of bed?” Rose swallowed, knowing that her approaching him changed everything and nothing at the same time. “I need you.”
Routines were good until they couldn’t be maintained and then you either had to learn to bend or you broke.
“I heard my name.” He smirked. “I thought you needed me again. I guess I was right.”
“How could you do this to me? How could you do this?” Blake’s face was pale but he smiled as he closed his eyes. “Save your life, you mean? Oh, I don’t know. Had nothing in the calendar, I guess. Plus, I suppose when you’ve been in love with someone for most of your life, it’s hard to just watch them die.”
