So the police officer hears everything that has happened including finding a hidden door between the homes....and he concludes that it is all just in their head and the son definitely just has an imaginary friend?!! I am dangerously close to abandoning this book for its stupidity. Exposition dumps around every corner, super predictable story line. Poorly formed story. Unless it really grabs me in the next chapter I am out. Would love a convo with anyone else who may be reading.
