Whoa. What an exposition dump! I'm not mad because for a moment I thought I missed a whole book somewhere. This short but sweet chapter of "all the info you might want to know about this family " was super helpful. Lol.
A little bored. Lots of foreshadow feeling items brought up in this chapter.
Gee. I wonder if it was Maren *insert eye roll here*.
So the police officer hears everything that has happened including finding a hidden door between the homes....and he concludes that it is all just in their head and the son definitely just has an imaginary friend?!! I am dangerously close to abandoning this book for its stupidity. Exposition dumps around every corner, super predictable story line. Poorly formed story. Unless it really grabs me in the next chapter I am out. Would love a convo with anyone else who may be reading.
