Perhaps these berths are arranged radially for some reason, but I would think that, given they are out of range of the planet's gravity, and given that alloys are designed to live in space and thus would think three-dimensionally, the most logical arrangement for berths in a four-berth station would be the four quarters of a tetrahedron, which means nothing would be diagonal from anything. Today on Extreme Nitpicking!
At the end of that segment, they came upon a plaque with the words of Ratnam inscribed in glowing letters: Ambition and materialism lead to greed and exploitation.
Am I searching too hard to note that Ratnam is Mantra backwards and with a single transposition? Given that this phrase is like a mantra for their entire civilization.
