All the Broken Places

These are themes that run through many of my books and about which I have written time and again. Having grown up in Ireland in the 1980s as part of a generation whose childhoods and teenage years were tainted by those who were entrusted with our education, perhaps it’s not surprising that I have less interest in the monsters than I do in the people who knew what the monsters were doing and deliberately looked away.
