I almost can’t believe I have to write this, but in a few cases, people have taken the idea of disagree and commit to the ridiculous extreme of flat-out barking at their colleagues, “IT DOESN’T MATTER IF YOU AGREE WITH ME—WE ARE DOING DISAGREE AND COMMIT.” Remember that the purpose of disagree and commit is to surface hesitations, concerns, and questions that might otherwise go unspoken. If your implementation of disagree and commit berates would-be dissenters into submission, you are doing it wrong.
