In order for your team to succeed, you must have a clear sense of where you are going and a plan for how to get there. But if your destination is too vague and your plan is too complicated, you might not get anywhere at all. Keep your goals specific and your strategy simple, and—above all else—work closely with your team to make sure that your goals and your strategy are useful for the folks actually building stuff for your users.
