Similarly, the reasons why Agile doesn’t work often have more to do with common sense than with fiddly distinctions between frameworks. For executives who are used to control and predictability, the notion of “responding to change over following a plan” can be scary. For teams who have historically enjoyed working on large projects with minimal day-to-day scrutiny, frequent releases can seem like a terrible idea. These are human issues, and talking candidly and nondogmatically about them will always be more fruitful than chiding others for not “getting it.”
