Allowing for the percentage of the total population represented by each racial group, blacks were arrested at 31 times the white rate for murder, 15 times the white rate for robbery, 11 times the white rate for rape, 9 times the white rate for felonious assault, and an almost unbelievably high 98 times the white rate for all shootings (both lethal and nonlethal).
