Evidence weighed and knowledge obtained lead to faith. It is true that faith in Jesus is the gift of God (1 Corinthians 12:9), but he usually reveals it in accordance with the laws of the mind, and hence we are told that faith comes from hearing, and hearing by the word of Christ (Romans 10:17). If you want to believe in Jesus, you need to hear about him, read about him, think about him, know about him.
