The scent that radiates off it as I dry myself is overpowering in the best way, and I hug it close to me as he dries himself with another one. As we climb into the car, he smirks when he sees me cuddling up to the towel.
So they “dried off” while standing in the same rain that instantly soaked her when she stepped out of the car? Then got into the car… Okay.
Thank Gods for my IUD… although that’s something Phoenix and I should’ve discussed beforehand.
Hold up author. Why would she even have an IUD, when it’s already hard for them to get pregnant in the first place AND she was betrothed to Zane since thirteen an the alpha must have an heir, at least in Willow Creek?
Rest, I command, testing our mind-link. At some point last night, I started getting bits and pieces back—words, feelings, phrases she was sending me unintentionally. We rest today, I add. I tamp down the emotion at being able to speak into her mind, because I know it means she’s fully accepted this bond.
I bark a laugh. She’s going to keep me on my toes; that’s for sure. “This thing between us,” I purr, thrusting my already hard cock against her hip, “is not fake, little wolf. It’s very real.”
So, he didn’t have a mind link with her and since the bond he thought he felt slip into place was fake, he shouldn’t have been able to read her emotions. Shouldn’t he have known something was wrong?
Why are they coming here? Anger flashes through me. Why can’t he just let me go? He lied to me. He betrayed me.
Maybe you should have replied to his text messages saying something to that effect and that you wouldn’t be returning. 🙄🙄 He hasn’t heard from you himself at all. There’s no telling what he thinks is happening to you.
“He didn’t tell anyone when you first showed up here, and he won’t tell anyone about this. He doesn’t trust anyone outside of our family.”
Does it even matter if he told anyone, since before taking her to the cabin people got wind that she was there, an omega in her first heat, and also that he had rejected her so she was unclaimed…🙄🙄
“Shifter law dictates that if there’s an injustice, the alpha of the affected pack must gather signatures of five surrounding packs. Once that’s completed, the injustice is reversed. In this case, the injustice is you being in Shadow Pack land.”
But those signatures were obtain by him telling lies to the others about her. This conversation is frustrating because it’s stupid and there’s no reason for any one of Shadow Pack to be angry because they know they truth now and can dispute the lies Zade is selling.
“If you don’t come home, six packs will declare war on the Shadow Pack.” My stomach flips with nausea, and the room tilts. Valen, Kaz, and Phoenix all begin to growl, the low sound sending vibrations across my skin.
So why don’t they obtain their own signatures and tell those packs the truth because it should be obvious Zade didn’t.
