“A partner, a true partner, can change everything. They’ll bring out the best in you, force you to acknowledge your weak spots, help you grow faster than you ever could on your own. I’d hate for you to miss out on that because you don’t think you deserve it.”
When in reality, I’d just been missing out on an incredible guy, all so my boss could call dibs on him, like a child licking a cookie to make it their own. Kenner had more maturity than her, and he was still wearing Pull-Ups to bed.

hugged her tight, then turned to look in the mirror. My mouth fell open as I saw myself, really saw myself. I may not have been small in any way. I may not have the perfect smile or a high-level corporate job. But I looked every bit worthy of the woman to be Tyler’s wife. And I was so glad he agreed. The
