Everything hurts when it comes to Theo. My heart. My pride. My confidence.
Fucking break me, Theo, I want to beg. But I don’t. I let him kiss me. Let him take what he wants. Let him try to prove it isn’t what I want, when it’s the opposite. I’ve craved him for years. And now…here he is. Kissing me.
“Nah, because whatever guy takes your cherry is only gonna be a disappointment if you think any of them will live up to the beast between my legs.”
He grabs my throat and angles my head up at him, demanding my full attention. I gulp but hold his gaze. Holy crap on a cracker, Batman!
She’s so fucking…infuriating. But gorgeous too. Like a tornado. Or a storm. A tsunami, maybe.
Colt’s right. She’s gonna be the death of me. But what he doesn’t know is she’s been killing me for years. Long before tonight. Why would my future be any different?
“To be fair, I only mouthed it to you,” I point out. “Colt got olive juice.”
“Yeah, I know,” he returns, his eyes losing a bit of the happy crinkles framing them. “I got fuck you, bitch, and Colt got I love you. How’s that for fair?”
“You wanted olive juice too?”...

“I wanted a lot of things, Blake.”
“Is there a problem with tiny clothes and no make up?” I cross my arms and cover my braless chest, daring him to say yes. “Nope. I like the freckles.” He steps closer and boops my nose with his calloused finger,
I remind him, “The freckles aren’t new.” With a knowing smirk, he looks at me over his shoulder. “I know. That’s what I like about them. Come on.”
“I actually like the purple, by the way,” he adds. “It suits you.”
“Twenty questions?” “Yeah. Let’s play.” “Why?” “So I can get to know the new Blake,” he answers
“Favorite color?”
“Green.” “So, the same as the old Blake,” he jokes. “Noted.”
“You?” I counter, refusing to acknowledge how adorable he is when he’s teasing me. “Purple.” With a laugh, I repeat, “Purple?” “Yeah. It’s a recent realization.
think you want a guy who pushes you. A guy who eggs you on. A guy who doesn't let you barrel over him. Someone who looks at you like an equal. Someone who challenges you.”
“You want a guy who can break you, Blake,” he rasps, his voice low and gritty and shooting straight to my core. “One who grabs you by the throat and squeezes as he enters you. One who treats you like you aren’t made of glass. You’re different than other girls.”
Holy crap on a cracker, Batman.
Fuck that, Theo. I’m not blind. I’ve known you’ve had a thing for her since we were kids. Why won’t you own up to it and date her for real?”
Theo: One cinnamon treat at a time ‘cause my girl likes to keep things spicy. ;)
Me: I’m not sure if you’ve been hit in the head one too many times, but I’m not your girl. Theo: You’ve always been my girl. Sorry it took me so long to see it.
When I’m finished, Theo slips his hand out of my pants and licks his fingers, his hot gaze on mine.
“You looking for another rematch?” I ask. He grins and puts two coins into the machine. “Nah. I already got what I wanted.” “Oh, really?” “Yeah.” “And what’s that?” His smile softens, but the crinkles around his eyes make my heart pitter-patter away. “You.”
“Thanks for letting me stay over tonight.” “You think you even have to ask?” he volleys back, lifting our entwined fingers and bringing them to his lips. His kiss is soft. Gentle.
His fingers play with the ends of her curled blonde hair as he murmurs, “Like your dress, Sunshine.”
He takes off his helmet and balances it on his hip, mouthing olive juice.
“But you’ve always loved the Rockies,” I remind him. “And I always will. But I love you more. I think the Lions contract is a better fit for us. Not me.”
I cup her cheek, running my finger over my jersey number painted on her skin. “I like my number on you,” I note
“I believe you’ve earned my mouth, Teddy. The question is…what are you going to do with it?”
On your knees, Blake,” Theo orders,
