I mean, anyone who is into rock probably mocks disco. But you dig deeper to see how important it is. Without disco, there’s no dance music, there’s no new wave. There’s no hip-hop. There’s no electronica, there’s no pop music from the aughts. Everything in music is just pieces and genres mashing together. One thing becomes another. It’s really cool that way.
