He caught himself checking his watch, which was a major no-no in the psychology field. Never let a patient see you check your watch. If they feel like they’re wasting your time, best case scenario, they get offended; worst case scenario, they realize that even the people they pay to listen to their problems couldn’t care less, and they go home and have their final pharmaceutical cocktail.
Even though he made his living talking and listening to people, Daniel was extremely introverted. Constant communication wore him out, but it paid well.
