“I was scared I wasn’t good enough for you.” Suzi pulls back to look at me, her eyes full of shocked horror. “Are you kidding? Look at you! How could you ever think you’re not good enough?”
She was mad because she thought he judged her on her looks; and yet, the author writes this? Infuriating!
