My brain hasn’t caught up with my body yet, and it’s still a surprise when I catch a glimpse of my new slimline version in the mirror.
Yet, a few paragraphs back, she says she still has "plenty of junk in her trunk", which does not mean she is slim. Confusing.
“I was scared I wasn’t good enough for you.” Suzi pulls back to look at me, her eyes full of shocked horror. “Are you kidding? Look at you! How could you ever think you’re not good enough?”
She was mad because she thought he judged her on her looks; and yet, the author writes this? Infuriating!
