The original Bull and Finch patrons hated us. We ruined their watering hole by making it famous and a place you had to visit when in Boston. Eddie Doyle was the bartender. Finally, he said, “Screw it, we’re doing great business.” Tom Kershaw owned the Hampshire House, the restaurant above. We had never asked him if we could use it for the exteriors.
