Why did so many people who had lost their jobs during the pandemic decide to quit when those jobs came back? Based on what we’ve learned in this book about quitting decisions, we can take some educated guesses. First, the people who lost their jobs at the start of the pandemic were forced to explore other options that might be available to them to earn a living, something that they wouldn’t generally have done under other circumstances.
