You Only Live Once

‘I like to think there’s always something redeemable, even when it looks like all hope is lost.’

‘I think, a lot of the time, we assume we still have plenty of time to ask those questions.’ ‘That’s true. But we never really know how much time we have, do we?’

I was thankful for the time that we did have together. Nothing would ever dim those memories or that love.

Even the vicar quakes in her presence, and he’s got God on his side!

I found the person for me and then the world took him away. What was the point of it all? What was the point of all that happiness if it was just going to be snatched away?

It wasn’t that I didn’t want to feel love, only that I couldn’t bear the loss of it ever again.

‘None of us knows how much longer we have on this earth. That’s why we have to make the most of it.’

‘Not everyone gets this sort of chance for happiness so when it comes you need to grab it with both hands and not let go, no matter what.’

‘I love you with everything I have, and there’s absolutely no way that I would ever, could ever, walk away from you. I know I didn’t go through what you did, and I can’t even pretend to understand that pain, but I’m here now and so are you. And yet you’re still throwing it all away.’

I was living in the shadows and I had been for far too long. It was time to step into the light, no matter how scary and bright it felt right at this moment.

Finally accepting that after years of us hiding in our own ways, we wanted to celebrate our hard fought for love with as many people as wanted to be a part of it.
