Fabulous wording to describe fall

An email dings in my inbox as I set the phone down, and I click on it. It’s from Cam, and the subject line reads Harvest Festival Photos. Eagerly, I open the file. Now that I’m thinking about it, I realize I’ve never really seen any of Cam’s work. I’ve always assumed he’s good, but my jaw drops open as I look at the photos. They don’t just capture moments from the festival. They manage to represent how the entire event felt. I can see the joy in a child’s expression as they got their face painted. I can hear the conversation a couple was having over steaming cups of cocoa, snuggled together on a bale of hay. I can smell the damp, earthy scent from the earlier rain and taste the rich apple cider on my tongue. I can feel the energy, even though I was passed out for most of it.

To be this good at photography, being able to feel the different senses while looking at photography.

My heartbeat finally slows as my eyes take in the view. My problems don’t seem so bad up here, with the wind and the trees to keep me company. Closing my eyes, I breathe in and out, feeling some of the tension finally leave my shoulders.
