It will just be me, alone with my parents’ approval and no one to celebrate it with.

I wonder if she’s ever let someone take care of her the way she does for everyone else.

The pictures will never live up to the real thing or what I could have taken with my film camera or my DSLR, but they’ll still be a reminder that I did the hard thing. They’ll remind me that when everything was falling apart, I did something hard, and it was worth it.
