“Look at those hips,” Sadie says. “That’s a Kardashian armadillo if I ever saw one.” “A Karmadillo, if you will,” I offer, and Sadie snorts.
It’s Ellie. It’s the first thing I think when I see her space. It’s a striped sweater in a sea of black dresses, a ray of sunshine on a cloudy day, a streak of gold handwriting on a chalkboard wall. It’s so perfectly her it makes my chest hurt.
