Their lips touched,

It was as she remembered it the day of Billy’s proposal,

He kissed her.

If time had any common decency, it would stop altogether and leave them frozen in this one perfect moment for all eternity.
“I can’t lose you again,”
Hand-in-hand, they strolled back to the cottage.
“You will continue to feed me, won’t you, Muriel?”
