Sit comfortably on a chair with your legs uncrossed, your feet on the ground, and your back upright. Close your eyes or focus softly on a spot on the ground. Place one hand on your belly and the other on your chest. Imagine a cup of hot cocoa in front of you. Breathe in slowly to smell your hot chocolate. Breathe out so slowly that you don’t blow off any marshmallows. You might imagine that you’re holding a straw between your upper and lower lip; this helps us slow down the out-breath.
