Having lived on the outside for so much of my life, I had a sense of what it would take to make ourselves part of the archive. We have to disrupt our cultural norms. We have to help center people who have been pushed to the sidelines, waiting for a chance to play. We have to interrupt our typical ways of operating, so that we can bring awareness and empathy to the experiences of those rendered invisible.
