One day, will he have a husband? What would that be like? He makes me hate him.
“Hey there, sleeping beauty…” He’s smiling down at me, this little tight smile: nice and kind of awkward. “Got some donuts.”
“Only with you,” he whispers, with a heavy-lidded smile. He looks happy. He looks sated. He looks like mine—for just the smallest moment. Then his body gives a little twitch, and he’s asleep.
have no more Wrath I have no more Wrath I have no more Wrath
A minute later, his limbs twitch, and his hand over mine falls slightly away. His head sinks into the pillow and his shoulders relax. And I’m holding him. I’m holding Ezra Masters. My stepbrother. The most infuriating guy I’ve ever met. The smirkiest and the cockiest and by far the most confusing. The most gorgeous…and I think maybe the most broken. I’ve got him, safe with me. And I don’t ever want to let him go.
“My Miller,” he whispers.
He wraps his left arm around my waist, and I try to snap-shot the moment in my memory: the sound of water lapping at the shore and boat docks. The smear of moonlight on the water and the feel of Ezra wrapped around me, hugging me tight, leaning on me like he’s mine to hold. Like we’re a couple. “Whatcha thinking about?” he asks softly. I smile. “Feeling like we’re a couple,” I confess. “We are. You’re my Miller.” He hugs me tighter. “I can’t let you go.”
"I don’t think I’ll ever be the same without you," he whispers. "I love you for infinity," he chokes. He's breathing hard,
“You look fucking lunchable, babe.”
