“Mills?” he says again, softly. “Yeah, angel?” He hugs me hard, whispers, “I love you.”
"Miller," he murmurs, sounding half asleep. "Yeah, Ez?" "Don't let go." "I won't." "Promise?" "Yeah angel. Promise forever,"
I smoked the second-to-last one the day after he left. Just like that one, this tastes like shit and makes me cough like crazy. I don't want to do it anymore after the one-fourth mark, but I keep going. I don't even know why. I guess because I need something to make me feel like he was here. Like that shit really happened.
"I don’t think I’ll ever be the same without you," he whispers. "I love you for infinity," he chokes.
"I gave you everything I thought you wanted.”
“I love you,” I say. “I’ve got you. You’re mine, and I’ve been waiting for you, so I can wrap you up and never let a damn thing ever hurt you again. Not without going through me first. I know you’re bigger, but I need to take care of you,” I whisper.
He feels like my Ezra, smells like Ezra. Every contour of his gorgeous body, the slight scruff on his jaw and cheeks—it’s delicious Ezra. My whole body and my soul reach for him.
"It's a fucked up story, Miller. But it looks like we're together at the end."
“You’re my person,” I tell him. “You’re my person too.”
Books are awesome,
I’d come in and you’d be reading.” “It’s an escape. As they say.”
Meeting you changed my whole world. You made me hurt in a way I never knew I could, but I had never, ever felt the way I felt about you.”
You deserve to live and to be happy. Nothing that happened was your fault.
I nearly killed myself with alcohol and weed and pills, but Jenna saved me. Mom and Carl forgave me, even when I wrecked my car and scared them both half to death. Ezra left me, and I thought he didn't give a shit, but he cared so much he remembered me despite his memory loss.
"I love you, Ezra." I put my hand over his, lacing my fingers through his warm ones. "I love you more, Josh Miller."
"All that bit about the writing your name on his arm." My mom fans her reddening cheeks. "That's the stuff of real love stories, Joshua. That boy really loves you." "I love him, too."
love you, my Miller. Thanks for coming on the field.”
