My thoughts swirled through my head and giddy butterflies danced in my stomach that I hadn’t felt since I was thirteen years old. Being a second-round draft pick to Chicago at eighteen hadn’t made me feel like this, and being traded to Boston’s farm team two years later had been more frustrating than exciting. The call-up to Boston had been exciting, but not in the same way thinking about Trevor was. It was turning my insides to goo. I really needed to call my dad to tell him the news, but I wanted to bask in the moment for just a minute longer. He was way too perceptive and I knew he’d be able to tell something was different about me if I called him when my dick was fully erect and my thoughts were focused way more on Trevor Cane than the trade to Nashville. There was no reason to go to afternoon skate now that I wasn’t officially a member of Boston’s team, but I’d been dressed to head out the door when Vincent’s call had come in. My favorite sweatpants had been worn so many times that they were stretched in the ass and thighs, the extra room doing nothing to prevent a noticeable tenting in the front. “Brax! It’s time to go!” My roommate’s voice broke through my thoughts and reminded me that I was still lying on my bed and Easton had no idea I’d just been traded.
