A tear slipped down his cheek. I put both hands on his cheeks and shook my head. I wanted to take away his pain.  “To live without your touch,” he continued, taking my hands in his. “Without your heart.” He moved a hand to my heart. “Your smart-ass mouth.” He gave me a slight grin, but there was still a pain in his features. “To never get to feel you again. Hear you giggle. See you roll your eyes at me.” I tried to kiss him again, but he turned his head away from me. It stung, and I frowned. “I’m so madly in love with you, Raven. I can’t live without you.”
