In short, the moment we stop thinking is when our happiness begins.
the same is true for everyone.
Is it just by chance that the example is not an accountant? How am I supposed to work without thinking about how to book this or that or whom to ask about what I don’t know of a specific transaction? Let’s not even mention scientists, doctors, engineers… or any job which includes problem-solving. Your examples are biased.
This unconditional love doesn't come from external reasons, but comes from within from the infinite source we all came from.
If her love is unconditional, does it even matter if it’s you or someone else? If it doesn’t depend on anything why does it depend on your person?
It only makes sense if you don’t think about it. Which is the goal of this book I suppose. Does it make it true though?
This idea is inherently flawed because our feelings can only ever be generated from within us, not from external things.
So untrue.
Feelings created by a person or even a thing! are absolutely real. Take music for instance. A good book. Or a bad one. Right now I am annoyed for example by this one. Is that real? I bet your ass it is. Maybe these feelings are fleeting but that’s the nature of feelings.
Just like how there are no wrong keys on the piano, there are no "wrong" decisions in life. There’s only thinking that give us pleasant or not so pleasant feelings.
If I decided now to punch you in the face, it might be justified (and gave me a pleasant feeling) but also wrong. And illegal. Or do you argue differently?
When Thomas Edison was confronted with a particularly challenging problem, he would sleep in his chair while holding a steel ball in each of his hands. Eventually he would slip into a deep enough stage of sleep where the ball would drop, wake him up and a solution to his problem would pop into his mind.
Nice story. Edison is a known fraud who stole the work of other investors and scientists. Probably this story as well.
