If they were gaining intelligence from the demon lord Clayman, it was safe to assume that he was under Kondo’s control as well.
It is never described or explained WHEN or how this happened. And by 'how' I'm not referring to the fancy bullets Kondo has. I mean did he disguise himself as a merchant and meet with Clayman (and what was meeting about)? Or did he just all of a sudden decide to sneak over to Clayman's castle & secretly shoot him from a distance?
