I’d agreed to meet Vivi after work to get out the canoe and eat dinner out on the lake. It’s something we’d been doing since we were young, but now that she had a place on the water, it was even easier. I had a canoe, and she had a dock, so I kept it out at her place, and we snuck out every chance we got. I’d bring the pizza and she’d supply the best fucking baked goods on the planet.
