Ashlan was the baby of the family. Dylan and Charlotte were twins and two years older than her, two years younger than me. Our oldest sister, Everly, was two years older than me.
Vivian Thomas was the best person I knew. There weren’t many people that I loved deeply… but she was one of them.
Because Callahan Ranch wasn’t the only thing on fire at the moment. My dick was on fire, but I’d have to deal with him later.
“You’re lucky I love you,” she said as she lay back again in the canoe. Don’t I know it. I’m the luckiest bastard around.
“I’m not going to have sex with you, Vivian, because you and I see sex differently.” She cleared her throat. “How so?” “I fuck. You make love. And you deserve that, but that isn’t me. But I can sure as hell manage to rock your fucking world without sticking my dick in you. And I want to be the first one to taste you.”
I looked up at her and smiled. “Now I’m going to taste you, Honey Bee.”
Bringing Vivian Thomas over the edge was beyond my wildest fucking dreams.
He wanted me. I wanted him. What was the problem?
I already loved Vivi, I had my whole life. Wanting her wasn’t supposed to happen.
And I’d been sucked off plenty of times in my life, so it wasn’t the first time a girl had dropped to her knees for me. But it was the first time this girl had.
“You can hold it with your hand,” I grunted, and her hand wrapped around the shaft as she continued her slow torture before her mouth came down over my erection and she moaned. She fucking moaned.
Jesus. Her desire mixed with her innocence is so fucking hot.
“Yeah, it’s powerful shit, right?” I pulled her close, wrapping her up tight in my arms.
“Oh. My. I see I’ve interrupted something. I would call the fire department to put out this fire, but it appears you’re already here,” Dylan said over a fit of laughter.
Because it was the only relationship that allowed me to spend all my time with you because my boyfriend didn’t live here. Because it’s always been you.”
Trauma is the ultimate thief. It may have robbed your past, but only you can let it rob your future.”
Come on, Niko. We all see it. We’ve been seeing it for years. And you’ve been pursuing my girl since the first time you climbed through her window.”
“If you’re waiting for my approval, you already have it. I couldn’t pick a better person than you for my daughter. The only one who doesn’t know it is you.”
“I think I’ve always been yours, Niko West,” I said, reaching for my key and shoving it in the door.
“You taking control, Honey Bee?” “Are you going to let me?” “I’m yours. Have your way with me.” His deep voice was smooth and silky.
He leaned forward and kissed me hard as he buckled me in. Kissed me breathless. And all I wanted was more.
“Now spread those pretty little legs for me and let me make you feel good.” I dropped to my knees.
It was exactly where I wanted to be. Worshipping the woman that I loved.
I never thought forever was a thing I’d give a shit about, but Vivian Thomas was my forever.
“Yeah. You two are a pair. Sweet twin and Spicy twin,” Everly said as she stared down at the magazine in her hand. “He looks good.
You aren’t your father. He robbed you of your childhood. Don’t give him your future too. Go be all the things that you want to be.”
The weird thing—I was imagining a house full of little Vivis. And it didn’t freak me out at all. And that alone completely freaked me out.
“I love you, Niko West. Yesterday and today wouldn’t have been tolerable if you weren’t here by my side. Thank you.”
“Baby, I plan to rock your world until you take your last fucking breath,” I said, shoving the door open and pushing out of the truck with Vivi in my arms.
I spent the rest of the night watching her sleep and thanking God that she was okay. Because I couldn’t exist in a world that Vivian Thomas wasn’t in.
He opened the box and took out the gorgeous ring. “Will you be my wife, Honey Bee?”
“You don’t even need to ask.” The words broke on a sob. “Yes, of course. I’ve loved you my whole life, Niko. And I plan on doing it until I take my last breath.”
Tragedy had a way of reminding you how precious life was. Reminding you about what mattered most. About what was most important. Love and family were everything.
“You’re my past, my present, and my future, Honey Bee. I promise to love you until I take my last breath and beyond.”
“I think I’ve loved you my whole life, Niko West. You’re my safe place, my heart, and my future. My hero, my prince, and my protector. And now I get to call you my husband—” My words broke on a sob, and he pulled me against him, wrapping his arms around me.
