An Island Summer

“That’s calm we hear,” he said, his voice breathy like the coastal wind. “It’s what we all long for, even if we don’t know it.”

“But if I do one thing right, it’s to teach you that whatever’s going on in your life, calm is within you. Sometimes, you just have to wade through the deep waters to find it.”

Your dreams are just your future stretching out in front of you. It’s up to you to act on them.

“Find someone who sees you, someone who knows the greatness you’re capable of before you’ve even discovered it yourself.”

At the end of the day, all we have is the only thing we really need—love.
