“Huh,” he lets out, sounding baffled. “I figured they just didn’t put it in your books because it’d kill the romance.”

“Smart ass.” He smirks, holding my head for a long kiss. “Alright, check my hernia. I’m good to go.” “Your pillow talk is so sexy,” I quip, tracing my way back to his seam.

“Riley, you have no filter.” “Sorry,” he pants. “No,” I reassure him with a kiss. “It’s my favorite thing about you.”
“That felt hot,” he rasps. “I bet it looked hot.”
I wanted to return to him whole, even though I knew he would have taken me in pieces.
“I don’t want him to ever think I want him to be something he’s not. He should know I love him just the way he is, and that it’s okay to be a Larry.”
Sometimes, however, it’s just as important to stand back and let them succeed or fail on their own. It’s the only way we truly learn.
Smiling at my small victory, I turn around and hand him his plate, proud to be feeding my man.
“Actually, I was thinking of selling this place, maybe buying a house in a small town closer to my parents. Do you think you could handle living closer to Leigh Ann’s cookie delivery service?”
“I think…that would probably save her on gas,” he finally says. “With what she’d save in fuel, she could probably afford more ingredients to bake even more cookies.” Exhaling in relief, I reach out and grab his hand, smiling when it grips mine back tightly. “Exactly! See, I like the way you think.”
“The best kind, of course. I was thinking of specializing in witty bromance with demisexual themes and bi-awakenings. Show all those straight guys what they’re missing, plus I want to give people hope. There’s too much angst in the MM genre. And I want to write a few about just two gay guys or two bisexual guys figuring their shit out and falling in love. What do you think?”
