I’ll probably get in trouble for this next sentence. But being a successful kid actor is kind of like doing porn. You can be super successful and make money doing it but when it’s over, what do you do? OF COURSE there are examples of those who have transitioned to adulthood successfully but for every Shia LaBeouf or Zendaya, there are a thousand stories of burned-out former kid stars who inform the collective opinion. There’s always going to be that stigma, that presumption that we know who you are because we saw you grow up.
