The day I do is the day I stop ‘bodyguarding.’” I rolled my eyes. “It must be nice to see everything in black and white.” Rhys’s gaze lingered on me for a second before he looked away. “Trust me,” he said. “Not everything is black and white.” Inexplicably, my heart skipped a beat, but I forced myself not to demand he tell me what he meant. It probably meant nothing. It was a throwaway line.
