Haeri had inexhaustible energy. Her body never stayed still, and her gaze roamed curiously from place to place like a little bird. It seemed to him that the child was made up of movements, not skin and muscles.
She made grown-ups feel tired as soon as she started to talk. She was constantly asking questions, and if they couldn’t answer, she looked at them with pity. It was different from simply being smart; she was like an impassioned adult who clearly knew how to monopolize love for herself.
