Something that’s scary is intended to cause fear, to frighten you. However, something that’s disturbing is intended to cause anxiety and be worrying.

MARTYR: So, you’re saying plagiarism can only exist if it’s the same art form? Writing vs. writing. Painting vs. painting. There’s no such thing as a murder scene plagiarizing a painting. AMBROSE: I think the ramifications for that would be far worse than mere plagiarism.
