We’re already wearing the ruby slippers. History can repeat itself. And it should be easier this time around. There are a lot more of us, and we have indoor plumbing. But we have something else as well. Something working against us. We have an internalized, individualized, in-it-to-win-it version of Christianity that neither Jesus nor the apostle Paul would have recognized. Actually, it’s difficult for anybody to recognize.
