She lets out another nervous laugh that wrinkles her nose and it’s fucking adorable. Nope. Get that thought out of your head.
“So, did you just want me for the night, or do I have the job?” The words did you want me for the night shoot straight to my dick. “The job is yours if you want it, Miss Silver.” I toss her resume on the table next to me.
“Hey, I’m not saying guys with good hands are gentlemen or chivalrous. They just know how to fuck.” She winks. “Oh, and they know how to fuck your life up too so be careful.”
I just can’t stand being led to believe that something is more than it is. If someone doesn’t want forever with me or doesn’t want a relationship, that’s okay. Just don’t make me believe there’s potential when there isn’t.
“Oh, and Miss Silver.” He turns back to face me, slowly pulling his hand out of his pocket and rubbing his chin with an almost undetectable wink. “Let’s keep the orgies to a minimum.”
Finally, I lean my head down till my lips are barely brushing her ear and I say in a calm but strangled voice, “Don’t call me that again unless you’re willing to be punished.”
Me: Now that picture is a masterpiece I’d hang in my office. The art museum can have your painting. ;)
“It’s our first date, Miss Silver, and I’d like to remain a gentleman this evening so if you don’t mind, I’ll keep that answer to myself.”
“I want you on your hands and knees.” She looks at me, then slowly drops down to the floor. “Crawl to me,” I say. Her eyes stay on mine as she slowly moves toward me, crawling on her hands and knees. “That’s right, baby. Come to daddy.”
Those three words…
“Sweetheart, there’s no point in others liking you if you don’t like yourself.”
“Margot, please, I—I love you.”
“I’m in love with you,” he says again, this time just a whisper.
“I want to marry you. I want you to be my wife. I don’t want you to move out, unless it’s moving out of your room and into mine. I want us to both build a life together and memories with Eleanor.”
“I love you, Graham Hayes.”
“Those three words…” she says as her eyes flutter close. “Come to daddy.”
