Long term, we need more real people in this city, people who aren’t freeloaders or gangbangers or, uh, sexually confused.” He grins. “And they need to see that Staten Island is where all the normal people of New York live—hardworking all-American people, who understand family values. If we play it right, get some movie shoots in to showcase how beautiful this borough is, maybe open up to new development, Staten Island can grow. Imagine if this borough had as many people as Brooklyn! We could get anything we wanted out of the city, then.”
