Working Through It

Rationally, she knew she had no right to be as upset as she was, but her feelings for Travis had never been rational. Her love for him was the same way Icarus loved the sun, too close, entirely too close.

That's a helluva a lot of love.

“Rare people are valuable. I can say unequivocally that I have never met a woman like you. I’d rather be an acquired taste than everybody’s cup of tea.”

If he was being honest, that’s what made him the angriest, losing his best friend.

That's the worse part of ending a long term relationship.

His careless actions ended up producing long-term consequences, the latest of which was this random dude with his hand securely around his ex.

“Is that Regina? Tell her I said hello.” “Yeah, no … I’m not gonna do that.” He could hear Makayla’s smirk over the phone.

Travis gave his shoulders a twitch. “Alcohol is a helluva drug.” “Yeah, and denial ain’t just a river in Egypt.”

“Yeah, no Maury for me. Travis, you are the father,” he joked. “Uh huh,” Makayla said, running her finger over the condensation on her cup.

Wowwwwwwww. Men are really as stupid as they appear.

When Makayla Randolph was through with you, she burned the bridge behind her so you no longer had access to her energy.

Makayla sound like a Scorpio to me.

“You listened when I talked; most guys didn’t. You made me laugh till my sides hurt. You were super smart, always teaching me something new. But most importantly, I liked who I was with you and how I felt even when you weren’t around.”
