I close my eyes and let the music take over my body like it always does. When I’m happy or sad or mad, anything, music is what I seek. I relate life to lyrics, tone to mood.
Nothing forces a man to face his feelings for a woman more than the interest of another man. I’m not sure if that’s what’s happening here but bless you, Noah Riley, for your man knowledge. You might be the very reason I get everything I’ve ever wanted.
It’s hard when you realize you simply aren’t enough for someone, and it’s even harder when everyone you’re connected to is connected to that person as well.

and finally, my tired, hungover mind catches on. Noah didn’t only come here to check on me; he came to take care of me.

“I’m a smart man, Juliet,” he whispers, his gaze dropping to my lips. “Only a fool would let you go once they had you where they wanted you.”
“I got her.” He places me on his lap, pulling the seat belt over me awkwardly and buckling it.
“Leave it on for me, yeah?”
Noah wants me, and he isn’t afraid to show it. He doesn’t care who knows it… so long as I do. I do, Noah.
“You look better in my clothes than you do yours.”
“And the mark on your neck you thought I wasn’t aware of, we should talk about making it a little more permanent, hmm?”
I’m in love with her, and if I’m right, which I hope to hell I am, she’s on her way to loving me right back. If she could, I’d need nothing else. Just her.
“I hear you. Honest, I do, and I know you’re right, but if there’s ever a time for me to be selfish, this is it. Because despite what she or anyone else might think is right for me right now, there is no way in this fucked-up world we’re currently living in that I could go out on that field and do a damn thing while my reason for breathing is lying here.”
“My regret would come from leaving her, not from staying. I could never regret being where I am right now. This is where I belong. This is where I’m staying. Nothing changes that, and nothing is more important.”
I love you, baby. Every part of you. I love the way you link life to lyrics, how you smile at the moon and love like the ocean, far and wide, and without apology. I love how selfless you are, how honest and kind, even though life hasn’t been so kind to you lately.
