The opposite of fear is courage. Courage to face the fears we need to face. Courage to do the things we need to do even if we’re scared of doing them. Courage to stand up for what’s right even when it’s hard. But courage isn’t something you get once and then keep forever. Courage is something you have to summon again and again.

My hope for you is that you find a way to let go of whatever parts of your identity are holding you back. Perhaps they were things that were given to you by others, or perhaps they were things you picked up yourself. Maybe they were based in truth, and maybe they weren’t. Regardless, I hope you are able to set them down. I hope you are able to leave them behind for good.
