It was clear the prince didn’t care, though. He clearly intended to treat her as his equal in all things, including leading his kingdom. He had always made way for Finley, respected her, even when he wanted to throttle her.
“Knows you. From…before.” Realization flowered through the bond. He’d put two and two together. He shook his head slowly. “There is no before you. There is no after. There is only you. Always.”
The desire to touch him, to stay near him, to drape myself around him, clawed at me. His smile was sanguine as he reached out and took my hand. “That’s the imprinting,” he whispered, his gaze rooted to mine. Clearly my expressions and body language showed what I was feeling. “I’ve heard that it fades, but for us I suspect it will never totally go away.”
“He wouldn’t have killed his heir.” “You are only his heir in name. You aren’t his heir by blood.” The air seemed to flash-freeze over the table. Nyfain’s lifted his gaze to hers slowly, his profound confusion evident. “I beg your pardon?” he finally said. She took a deep breath. “The king’s animosity toward you probably stemmed from many things, but one thing in particular. The king knew he was not your father.”
Do not take any risks. You hold my heart. Keep it safe.”
One actually asked another if his new pants made his dick look bigger!” I couldn’t help grinning. “And what did you say?” “I told him the truth—the pants made it look big enough to distract from what came out of his mouth.”
I bet they hadn’t rage-fucked once. How boring.
He ignored all of this as though it wasn’t happening, which made me laugh.
