Adam was the undeniable focal point for the band. Not only was he considered to be, how do I say this, very attractive . . . to those interested in kind of not neat and pretty packages. He was a bit untidy and unkempt but charismatic and charming. That’s a dangerous combination.

I cannot tell you how many times we were playing to a sea of middle fingers of kids who were just disgusted with the kid playing the piano on the stage.
